Turn, Turn, Turn

Sharon Astyk has a great post chronicling the changes that have taken place over the years on her homestead.  It’s really great to read about her journey, as someone who hopes to embark on a similar journey in the coming years.  I think that one of the things that I see as being really beautiful about this type of life is the fluidity and experimental process of determining what works for you and your family.  Everyone is not the same, and every piece of land is not the same.  As you learn your land and your limitations you can adjust.  All of the planning is useful and profitable, but you have to be able and willing to work with reality and not some dream.  Great reminder.
