Ross Douthat to replace Krystol at the Times!

Maybe there’s hope for conservatism yet.  Ross Douthat has been chosen as the replacement for the aweful Bill Krystol’s column in the New York Times.  For those who don’t know, Douthat is a great columnist who has been writing for the Atlantic and will now be moving up in the world to the big show.  Up to this point Douthat’s claim to fame was the fact that Rush Limbaugh couldn’t seem to figure out how to pronounce his name.  Ross is definitely not Rush’s kind of conservative.  He is a bit heterodox, but is brilliant and really provides the kind of well thought out analysis and dialog that I would prefer to see engaged in by more conservatives in the media.  This is really an exciting development.
